Misha Tyutyunik (b. 1984, Ukraine) is a painter, illustrator, muralist, and designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Using bold lines, an eclectic palette, and iterative graphic elements, his work is often site-specific, culturally-responsive, socially-engaged, and a confluence of both fine art and street art traditions.
Tyutyunik’s thriving studio practice focuses on urbanism, cultural identity, iconography, and contemporary popular culture. Characterized by his use of graphic realism, Tyutyunik’s work is also influenced by ‘Golden Age’ graffiti; Japanese prints; abstract expressionism; Mexican and WPA muralism; and German Expressionism. His work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows throughout the United States and abroad, including a forthcoming solo exhibition at Tambaran 2 in New York City. Tyutyunik has been commissioned to create works for a variety of lifestyle brands and is featured in public, private, and corporate collections.
The Pin Co is an independently run company, by no means are we a large corporation however we feel the responsibility given our platform to give back to the world where we can. Our first initiative will be our "Green Thumb Program" in which we will be planting a tree for every retail pin sold.
